The Great Wakering Household Waste Collection Point in the Recreation Ground has been a great success.

 Rochford District Council are still in negotiation with Southend Borough Council to discuss possible future arrangements.

There is to be a temporary extension on the third Saturday of each month starting 20^th June (9 am – 12 noon)- the end date is unknown
